Fall Nineteen Collection to launch at Address Assembly.

My most enamoured memories are times with friends and family over meals. Dining out or home cooking there’s always something magical in the moment. A moment where we can all come together and celebrate. It’s chance to allow conversations to take place, connecting with others and appreciate the company.

Personally, tableware means more than just home décor. It’s a vehicle of kindness and act of service from one to another. It’s also an attraction to the dinner table, enhancing our experience with our loved ones.

Growing up, I loved the sounds of rattling dishes coming from our kitchen, it meant my mom was done cooking and I could take a break from doing homework to eat with my family. Looking through the translucent rice patterns in my bowl would spark my curiosity at the dinner table. My parents would have their dinner on these plates where the walls curving up reminding me of the casserole dishes I would see on TV. As I got older, I was home less and would miss dinners, but mom would always leave me leftovers in my favourite bowl. It was a nice reminder that they were thinking of me.

Proud to introduce Fall Nineteen, a series of porcelain dinnerware and home décor items, handmade individually in my Strathcona studio. Originated in the Shang dynasty, I chose porcelain for the project for its minimal character and its toughness to endure modern times. Keeping the profiles simple, I designed the pieces to be stackable and easy to store, allowing more space for other important items in our lives.
